Better watch out, there’s something on the horizon that’s going to drive teenage girls from coast to coast absolutely wild. If you are a parent of a teenage gal, you best get your ear plugs ready and hide your check book and credit cards. There’s a new Beetle convertible a-coming, and it just might be the most darling of Beetle of all time.  

Unveiled at the recent Beijing Motor Show, the Volkswagen E-Bugster Cabriolet features an all-electric drivetrain that is able to whine out 115 horsepower. Its single-charge range is a respectable 110 miles, and its fast-charge time is a mere 35 minutes. These are fine numbers for an electric vehicle that is roughly the same size as the regular production Beetle.

For those whose teens are drooling over this car, just remember that insurance rates for teen drivers driving convertibles may be significantly higher than they would be for a hardtop version.  It’s best to compare rates before you make any decisions.
